• The TUR – 4MN is a manual/CNC combination high-precision heavy duty lathe. Equipped with the very latest Siemens Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control system and AC drives the TUR – 4MN is a production unit for manufacturing the high-precision, complicated parts made as one-offs or in small and large batches. Unlimited applications, no knowledge of programming needed. When the machine is equipped with special tooling system, steady or follow rests, milling unit, grinding unit it offers a high efficient heavy duty lathe for unlimited applications. The great advantage to the user of this lathe is the possibility of employing the highly developed techniques without any special knowledge of programming.

Fully programmable

• The spindle speed is infinitely adjustable from the minimum until maximum speed. CSS is programmable. The machine is equipped with a gearbox which is automatically programmable as standard ensuring a high torque at low speeds. • Eliminating deviations The linear measuring system eliminates deviations of position due to expansion of the ball screw because of temperature fluctuations or play between nut and screw any other mechanical play.
• Headstock The headstock is of a modern compact design. The shafts and gears are made of heat treated alloy steel. Due to application of closely supported shafts and ground gears the headstock runs very smoothly at all speeds.
• The main spindle is powered by a Siemens AC variable speed 56 kW.
• Heavy-duty tailstock The heavy-duty tailstock allows bigger workpiece loads and reduces vibration during heavy rough cutting.

  The headstock, made of one mono-block casting, is located on hardened and ground bed guide ways.

• Tailstock: increasing machining range
  The standard 125 mm diameter tailstock quill diameter is located in a special extended body which increases the machining range whilst keeping high rigidity.

• The bearing system for the quill is prepared for mounting the dead centre MT5 or MT6 and is available as an additional option.

• Headstock
  The heavy duty headstock is actually located on the two V’s of the induction hardened and ground bed surface, hand scraped to ensure correct alignment and the best possible fit. Made of a one piece housing the TUR SMN 560 and TUR SMN 630 are equipped with strong, high precision spindle bearings that guarantee perfect stability and accuracy when machining. A 140mm diameter spindle bore and double spindle nose is standard on the A -models.

  TUR SMN with Siemens SINUMERIK ONE allows you to work manually, semi-automatic or full CNC. The user friendly Siemens Shop Turn Conversational Programming System will make your work efficient and enjoyable.

• The machine is equipped with a Siemens SINUMERIK ONE CNC system with ShopTurn conversational programming system for turning and milling.
• The new FCTS 900 slant bed CNC lathe has a heavy duty 60° inclined bed with 70° column. The machine is equipped with a Siemens SINUMERIK ONE CNC system with Shopturn application for turning and milling. In standard execution there is a heavy duty spindle with bore of 140 mm. The machine can be equipped with different hydraulic power chucks. Driven tools are optionally available on standard 12-position toolturret (VDI 60). In combination with the continuous C-axis, the machine can carry out complicated milling, drilling and tapping operations. For working on long boring bars, as a special option, there is available also 9 position tool disc which is working with the standard toolturret. On the disc there are 6 positions of VDI60 (static or driven tools) and 3 positions for tool holders according to DIN69881.
• The axes are driven with servomotors through ball screw drives, utilizing roller guideways in X and Y axes for high speed movement and slide ways where high stiffness is needed. The ball screws are driven by brushless motor, toothed belt reduction unit and preloaded nuts.
• The massive tailstock is positioned with the saddle with hydraulic clamp/unclamp and hook-up operation (hydraulic live quill is standard). Programmable tailstock with separate drive system is an option. The design of tailstock provides also easy setting and high stiffness.

• The 70° inclined bed ensures for the operator an optimum swarf removal, an easy setting and an inspection of the tools and optimal acces to the workpiece.
• The FCT 700 lathe is equipped with a 12-station bi-directional toolturret with standard static VDI 50 tooling, resulting in lower costs for toolholders. Optionally there’s a toolturret available with driven tools, enabling in combination with the continuous C-axis complicated milling, drilling and tapping operations.
• Optionally equipped with Y-axis
• The FCT 700 can be optionally equipped with Y-axis to enable off centre drilling, milling operations and surface milling. Other additional options as measuring system on the X-axis, tool presetter, hydraulic steady rest are possible on demand.
• The FCT 700 is equipped with a programmable tailstock with hydraulic clamp/unclamp system, built-in live center and automatic positioning (option) providing as well easy setting as bigger workpiece machining.
• Automatic 2-step gearbox
• To achieve a higher torque at lower speeds for heavy machining of big workpieces, the machine can be optionally equipped with an automatic 2-step gearbox.
