DNA:
DNA is the molecule that encodes genetic information for all living things. It plays a key role in passing traits from parents to offspring and is the primary component of chromosomes in the cell nuclei of complex organisms.
The discovery of DNA didn’t so much change the world as it did our understanding of it and more so, our understanding of life. DNA is a term we’ve only started using in the 20th century, though its initial discovery dates back decades into the 19th century.
Many people think scientists James Watson and Francis Crick discovered DNA in the 1950s. Nope, not so fast. DNA was actually first discovered in 1869 by Swiss physician Friedrich Miescher. He identified what he referred to as “nuclein” in blood cells. Several other researchers have worked on projects around identifying DNA up until Watson and Crick.
Leftover pasta has extra health benefits:
That's because it contains more resistant starch than fresh pasta, thanks to the effect of cooking and cooling on the pasta starch's structure. Leftover pasta supports stable blood sugar, contains fewer calories, and helps improve gut health. It might sound too good to be true, but experts say these benefits are related to something called resistant starches. That's because it contains more resistant starch than fresh pasta, thanks to the effect of cooking and cooling on the pasta starch's structure. Resistant starch has been linked to improved blood sugar control and better gut health.
How Egypt plans to turn Sinai into a trade hub:
Egypt’s plan to transform Sinai into a logistics hub reflects a deeper shift in economic strategy that moves beyond relying on geographic advantage and focuses on activating it through infrastructure and integration.
By connecting Sinai to national and global supply chains, reducing operational costs, and creating new investment opportunities, Egypt is laying the groundwork for a more competitive and diversified economy.
Sinai is no longer a peripheral region. It is becoming a strategic frontier, where infrastructure, policy, and geography converge to create new economic potential.
