What you need to know about Egypt’s monorail project:
Cairo is on the verge of a transportation revolution with the construction of a groundbreaking 97-kilometer monorail system, set to be the longest in the world. Designed to connect key urban and suburban areas, this ambitious project promises to transform mobility in one of the globe’s most congested cities.
Here are few key things you need to know about Egypt’s cutting-edge monorail system and its impact on the future of urban transit.
– The World’s Longest Monorail :Cairo’s upcoming monorail system will stretch 97 kilometers, making it the longest monorail system in the world. It’s designed to revolutionize urban mobility in one of the most populous cities globally.
– Connecting Cairo to Key Areas :The monorail consists of two main lines:
East of Nile Line (EON): Spanning 54 kilometers, this line connects Cairo Stadium to the New Administrative Capital, which is expected to house 6.5 million residents.
West of Nile Line (WON): Running 43 kilometers, this line links the Zamalek district to 6th of October City, a hub of commercial and residential activity.

Wearing a tie can reduce blood flow to the brain by 7.5 %:

A study in 2018 found that wearing a necktie can reduce the blood flow to your brain by up to 7.5 per cent, which can make you feel dizzy, nauseous, and cause headaches.  Those who wore neckties with a tight knot saw cerebral blood flow dropping by 7.5 per cent and it continued to remain decreased by an average of 5.7 per cent after the necktie was loosened. They can also increase the pressure in your eyes if on too tight and are great at carrying germs.

History of Science

The Adhesive Bandage:

The Band-Aid was invented in 1920 by a Johnson & Johnson employee, Earle Dickson, for his wife Josephine, who frequently cut and burned herself while cooking. The prototype allowed her to dress her wounds without assistance.  Dickson’s ready-made prototype bandage was a combination of two existing Johnson & Johnson products, surgical tape and gauze, with a removable sheet of crinoline to protect its adhesive surface.

BAND-AID® Brand adhesive bandages officially went on the market in 1921.
