Driving Innovation in Sterile Manufacturing

At Noor Scientific & Trade, we believe that innovation thrives when knowledge is shared.  That’s why our Pharma & FMCGs Process Solutions Division proudly hosted a scientific seminar titled: “Innovative Technologies in Sterile Manufacturing in Pharmaceuticals Industries & Regulatory Aspects”, held at the elegant Fairmont Nile City Hotel.

With over 80 key pharmaceutical industry experts in attendance, the event was a collaborative platform to spotlight cutting-edge solutions from our esteemed partners:

  • Merck (Germany) – pioneers in life science innovation
  • SPM (China) – specialists in high-end sterile manufacturing solutions

Through insightful presentations and regulatory deep dives, guests left with enriched knowledge and fresh perspectives to empower their operations.

The guests’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive – from the scientific value shared to the seamless organization and warm hospitality (including a networking lunch to wrap up the day on a high note).

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests and partners for making this seminar a true success.

Preservation Line KON

A preservation line is a highly complex, individually configured surface treatment system that fully automatically pre-heats, de-rusts, and descales and then applies a temporary corrosion protection – the welding primer – to steel. Preservation lines can take on enormous dimensions. They are used where large quantities of steel sheets or profiles have to be processed (e.g. in shipyards, steel trades, or rolling mills).

The main component of the preservation line is a roller conveyor blast machine. Various components are then installed upstream and downstream.

The application of solvent- or water-based welding primers offers a  temporary protection against corrosion on steel plates, profiles and pipes.

Preservation lines can be easily integrated into manufacturing lines and can be fully automated. You receive all process components, including the work piece loading & unloading systems, from one single source.

  • Blow-off station
  • High convection pre-heater
  • Roller conveyor blast machine
  • Automatic paint system including paint supply unit
  • Paint dryer
  • Slat conveyor
  • CO2 fire extinguishing system
  • Thermal post combustion

Egypt vows no power cuts this summer
Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed that the current summer would experience no load shedding or electricity cuts, a significant change from past years.  He clarified that the deployment of three regasification vessels is a temporary solution until Egypt’s full natural gas production capacity is restored.
In May, Egypt received an additional floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to secure natural gas supplies for peak demand.  Two other ships are arriving soon, bringing the total number of FSRUS to four, helping to meet demand.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources declared that Egypt is implementing a strategy to ensure a steady natural gas supply for power stations and support the electricity grid’s stability throughout the summer.

Scientific Facts

The Human Stomach Can Dissolve Razor Blades
It may sound horrible, but it is another one of the most amazing facts in science that a human stomach is more capable of dissolving razor blades. Acids are classified on a scale from 0 to 14. Remember, the lower the ph level, the stronger the acid is. And the pH level in the stomach ranges from 1-3 which is so strong that it can dissolve a single-edge blade in a few hours of immersion in the stomach acid, as found in a study. So, if you ever swallow a razor blade, you don’t need to panic

History of Science

Steam Engine
Steam engine is a machine using steam power to perform mechanical work through the agency of heat. In a steam engine, hot steam, usually supplied by a boiler, expands under pressure, and part of the heat energy is converted into work. The first recorded rudimentary steam engine was the aeolipile mentioned by Vitruvius between 30 and 15 BC and described by Heron of Alexandria in 1st-century Roman Egypt.
During the Industrial Revolution, steam engines started to replace water and wind power and eventually became the dominant source of power in the late 19th century and remaining so into the early decades of the 20th century, when the more efficient steam turbine and the internal combustion engine resulted in the rapid replacement of the steam engines.
The significance of the steam engine is that it was a way to turn heat into motion. With this ingenious device, we could now use fuel instead of wind, water or muscle power.
