Chain Heat Treatment System

ENRX chain heat treatment systems combine induction hardening and tempering into a fully in-line, continuous process that transforms chain from raw links into hardened, tempered and ready-to-use products. The system supports selective heating of chain ‘schenkels’, ensuring superior ductility and optimal mechanical properties.

Induction heating provides localized, even heat input with minimal surface scaling—an advantage over furnace heating. A typical ENRX Induction system processes approximately 1000 kg per hour of ø5–ø34 mm chain, while requiring only around 7.5 meters of vertical space.

The system integrates optical heat sensing, advanced control panels, multilingual software, automated loading/unloading, and coil designs engineered to prevent knots and tangling. Two independent cooling circuits (for heaters and for quenching) ensure reliability even under pressure fluctuations. Optional filtration systems continuously remove scale from quench water.

The solution is modular and customizable for specific chain types, sizes and production capacities, with stored preset data for more than 100 chain variations.
