Description

Smoke Optical Density
The Chamber is used to estimate the specific optical density of the smoke generated by solid materials in vertical position, having thickness up to 25 mm.
The use of a heat energy source and a six-flame burner simulate radiation and combustion conditions at the same time.
While the smoke generated by the specimens kept within the airtight chamber, a photometric system estimates the transmittance variations.
Test data and specific optical density values are displayed on a Personal Computer.
Standards: ASTM E 662, NFPA 258
