Taco Automatic Air Vents

Taco automatic air vents remove air at boilers and system high points. Hy-Vent® models use a serviceable float mechanism. The heavy-duty 409 features a conical brass body that reduces interference from floating debris. The 417 Coin Vent uses cellulose discs that release air when dry and swell on contact with water to seal the outlet.

Model 400 Hy-Vent®: ⅛" NPT; maximum system pressure 150 psi; maximum venting pressure 50 psi.
Model 416 Slim-Line Hy-Vent®: ⅛" NPT; maximum system pressure 150 psi; maximum venting pressure 115 psi.
Model 426 Hy-Vent®: ¼" NPT; maximum system pressure 150 psi; maximum venting pressure 50 psi.
Model 418 Hy-Vent®: ½" × ¾" NPT; maximum system pressure 150 psi; maximum venting pressure 50 psi.
Model 419 High-Pressure Hy-Vent®: ½" × ¾" NPT; maximum system pressure 250 psi; maximum venting pressure 150 psi.
Model 409 Commercial Vent: ¾" NPT; maximum system and venting pressure 150 psi.
Model 417 Coin Vent: ⅛" NPT; maximum system and venting pressure 125 psi.
Maximum temperature: 240°F (116°C).
Materials: Nickel-plated brass Hy-Vent® bodies; heavy-duty brass 409 body; cellulose discs in model 417.
Fluid compatibility: Water or water/glycol mixtures up to 50% glycol for float vents; model 417 for water and low-pressure steam applications.
Bubble breakers: Included on models 400, 416 and 426.
409 discharge connection: Accepts ¾" ID flexible tubing.
Optional accessories: Model 414 waste connector for 400, 416, 426 and 418; model 415 service check valve for 400 and 416.
417 shut-off: Internal ball check permits manual closure.

Automatically removes air to support circulation and heat transfer.
Prevents radiators from becoming air bound.
Speeds system filling and air purging.
Removable Hy-Vent® caps simplify servicing.
Optional service check allows compatible vents to be replaced without draining the system.
Optional waste connector directs leakage to a waste line.
