Taco Single-Stage, Double-Suction Horizontal Split Case Pumps (TA Series)

Taco TA pumps feature a balanced double-entry impeller designed for high efficiency, low NPSH requirements and stable performance. The horizontal split casing allows removal of the rotating assembly without disturbing piping. Modular bearing and shaft components offer flexible construction and seal options, while reduced axial thrust and shaft deflection extend bearing and seal life.

Flow range: 60–6,000 GPM, depending on model.
Maximum operating pressure: 300 psi (approximately 20.7 bar), subject to selected flange and operating limits.
Connections: ANSI Class 125 or Class 250 flanges.
Seal/packing temperature: Standard 250°F (121°C); optional 300°F (149°C).
Casing: Heavy-duty cast iron with integral mounting feet.
Impeller: Hydraulically and dynamically balanced bronze double-entry impeller; optional cast iron.
Shaft: Carbon steel; optional stainless steel.
Shaft sleeves: Replaceable bronze; optional stainless steel.
Wear rings: Replaceable bronze casing rings; optional cast iron rings or impeller wear rings.
Bearings: Heavy-duty, grease-lubricated bearings.
Seal flushing: Standard recirculation line; optional filter and abrasive separators.
Service connections: Gauge and priming ports, upper-casing air release valve and flushing connections.
Motors: Standard NEMA T or TS frame motors.
Options: Drip-type base, two rotation arrangements, packed stuffing box and balanced mechanical seals.
