Taco Vertical Split-Coupled In-Line Pumps (KS / SKS Series)
Compact centrifugal pumps for HVAC, industrial and domestic water systems, with a split coupling that allows seal replacement without disturbing
Taco Tangential Air Separators (ACT / ACTF Series)
- Taco ACT/ACTF Separators use tangential connections to create cyclonic flow. Centrifugal action directs water towards the vessel wall while separated air collects towards the centre and rises to the top connection for venting or return to a plain steel expansion tank.
- ACT models are supplied without a strainer; ACTF models include a removable 304 stainless steel strainer for capturing larger debris. Multiple sizes and pressure ratings accommodate different system requirements.
- Standard connection sizes: 2"–20"; larger units up to 36" available.
- Body: Carbon steel.
- Separation design: Tangential inlet and outlet create cyclonic flow.
- Standard working rating: 125 psi at 375°F (approximately 8.6 bar at 191°C).
- Optional working pressure: 150 psi (approximately 10.3 bar); higher ratings upon factory consultation.
- Connections: NPT on 2" and 2½" models; ASME B16.5 flanges on models 3" and larger.
- ACTF strainer: Removable 304 stainless steel with 3/16" perforations (approximately 4.8 mm).
- Strainer free area: At least five times the nozzle opening area to limit pressure loss.
- Service connections: Top air vent/expansion tank connection and bottom blowdown connection.
- Options: Larger sizes, higher pressure ratings and alternative construction materials.
- Helps reduce air locking and maintain circulation.
- Supports heat transfer and system efficiency.
- Helps reduce air-related corrosion, pump damage and operating noise.
- ACTF strainer captures larger debris and is removable for cleaning.
- Compact construction helps minimise installation space.
- Helps extend the service life of pumps, piping and components.
- Hydronic hot water heating systems.
- Chilled water and cooling systems.
- Water and water/glycol circuits.
- Commercial, institutional and industrial installations.
- Air elimination systems with bladder or diaphragm expansion tanks.
- Air control systems with plain steel expansion tanks.
- ASME: Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessel construction and stamping; U-stamp shown.
- ISO 9001: Manufacturer’s quality management certification.
